Candidate Privacy Notice

How CC Jobs collects, holds, uses and discloses the personal information of candidates, including resumes, qualifications, referees and right-to-work information.

This Candidate Privacy Notice explains how CC Jobs, part of CAQA Groups and Career Calling International Pty Ltd, collects, holds, uses and discloses the personal information of candidates when you visit this website, make an enquiry, subscribe to updates, submit a resume, apply for a role, take part in screening or interviews, or otherwise communicate with us. We collect candidate information only where it is reasonably necessary for our recruitment functions and activities, including matching candidates to vacancies, verifying qualifications, arranging interviews, meeting legal obligations and communicating with you about relevant roles and services.

This notice works alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes how Career Calling International Pty Ltd handles personal information across its websites. Where the two documents overlap, this notice explains how the general rules apply to recruitment in particular.

Who this notice covers

CC Jobs provides recruitment services for the vocational education and training (VET), education and professional-services sectors across Australia. This notice covers trainers and assessors, compliance and quality specialists, student support and administration staff, education leaders and executives, and any other person who registers with us, responds to a role we promote, or uses our candidate career services.

The information we collect

Depending on your dealings with us, we may collect:

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you use the forms on our contact page, email us at info@caqa.com.au, call 1800 266 160, or speak with our consultants during registration, screening and interviews. With your knowledge, we also collect information from the referees you nominate, from qualification-issuing bodies and registers when we verify credentials, and from publicly available professional profiles where it is reasonable to do so for recruitment purposes.

How we use your information

We use candidate information to assess your suitability for roles, build shortlists, verify qualifications and currency, arrange interviews, provide feedback, deliver candidate career services and keep you informed about vacancies that match your preferences. With your agreement, we may retain your details in our talent pool so that we can contact you about future roles in the VET, education and professional-services sectors.

Who we share it with

We present your profile to a prospective employer only with your consent for the role concerned. We may also disclose information to referees you nominate, to bodies that verify qualifications or currency, and to service providers who support our systems under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell candidate information. Where disclosure is required or authorised by law, we will comply with that requirement.

Screening and its limits

Our screening is limited to the checks we describe to you at the time, such as interviews, qualification and currency verification and referee checks. Employers remain responsible for their own pre-employment checks, such as police checks, working-with-children checks and medical assessments, unless we agree in writing to arrange them on an employer's behalf.

Fees and payments

CC Jobs does not charge candidates for registration, representation, shortlisting or placement, and no payments are taken through this website. Our fees are payable by employers under separate written terms, so no refund or cancellation arrangements apply to candidates using this site.

Storage, security and retention

Candidate records are held in secure environments and access is limited to staff who need the information to do their work. We retain candidate information for as long as it is needed to provide our services, to meet legal and record-keeping obligations, or until you ask us to remove your details from our talent pool.

Access, correction and withdrawal

You may ask for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you at any time by writing to complaints@careercalling.com.au or to 2/10 Lawn Court, Craigieburn, Victoria 3064. You may also withdraw from consideration for any role, or ask us to stop contacting you about vacancies, at any time.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question about this notice, or believe we have mishandled your information, please raise it through our Complaints and Feedback process. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
